Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAB/CAPB) is an amphoteric surfactant with a quaternary ammonium salt group as the cationic moiety and a carboxyl group as the anionic moiety;

This substance, primarily derived from coconut oil and its derivatives, possesses low irritation, thickening, antistatic, softening, bactericidal, hard water resistance, and biodegradability properties. It is readily soluble in water and exhibits strong pH stability. It is often used in combination with various surfactants to significantly enhance the softening, conditioning, and low-temperature stability of detergents;

It is widely used in daily chemical products such as shampoos, shower gels, and facial cleansers, as well as in oilfield displacement agents.

It is widely used in oilfield development, mainly as a viscosity reducer, oil displacement agent and foaming agent. It makes full use of its surface activity to wet, penetrate and strip crude oil from oil-bearing mud, thereby improving the tertiary recovery rate;

2.Excellent solubility and compatibility:

It is widely used in the formulation of medium and high-grade shampoos, shower gels, hand soaps, foaming facial cleansers, and household detergents; it is a major ingredient in the preparation of mild baby shampoos, baby bubble baths, and baby skin care products; it is an excellent softening conditioner in hair and skin care formulations; it can also be used as a detergent, wetting agent, thickener, antistatic agent, and bactericide.
